About Me

Martin Cronin - About Me

Martin Cronin

My lifetime work as an accountant, church worker, Christian mission worker and primary school teacher has always involved me in supporting people using coaching and mentoring skills.

I have spent most of my working life in accountancy – the last 20+ years alongside my wife running our own accountancy and bookkeeping practice, supporting charity / church leaders and bookkeepers alongside small business and individuals with tax and accounting support.

Over the years, I have been involved in pastoral care, discipleship, prayer ministry, preaching/teaching, evangelism and held various leadership roles. I have worked with or been part of churches across the denominations from Anglican and Methodist to many of the newer church networks and independent churches.

I can offer you someone who will listen attentively, ask insightful questions to bring clarity, providing empathy, challenge and prayer as appropriate.  Together, we can work to establish goals to help you move forward in whatever area of life is proving a current challenge.  This could include a career change, a relationship difficulty, a recent bereavement/loss, doubts about the Christian faith, loss of trust in church, or simply some guidance on home budgeting and money management.

My varied church life experience and training means I can also understand some of the specific pressures and opportunities that come with church work or church leadership, particularly as volunteers or as lay leaders.

My training in spiritual accompaniment enhances what I can offer as it introduced me to a variety of tools and perspectives from across the Christian traditions to help with one-to-one work.  This included using Lectio Divina, different prayer practices and the values of silence and solitude.
